Melissa has a BA in Music from Central WA University, and almost completed her BA in Accounting from Central as well. Almost all of her working experience has been in the area of accounting, while her music has been her “other life”; singing in many different venues, including singing in and leading worship teams and choirs at churches. She has lived in the NW nearly all her life, preferring to remain near her parents and five brothers and sisters, and all their families. She met her best friend, Scott, online in 2007, and married him in 2009, becoming the step-mother to his six children. When she is not keeping the numbers balanced for the church and Heritage Christian Academy, you will find her working on knitting or crocheting projects for her other business, Knifty Knits, directing the Alpha Singers choir, or at home with her husband and 3 dogs.
Husband: Dustin, Children: Caleb & Ezra

Children's Ministry Director
Principal, Heritage Christian Academy
I grew up in Omak, WA before moving to Florida to attend Pensacola Christian College. While there, I received my Bachelor’s in Sports Management and my Master’s in Education Administration. Athletics have always been a passion of mine, and I have been blessed to use that passion to reach children and teens for Christ. After graduating, I worked in the Philadelphia area as an athletic director/coach. Then, after having our first child, the Lord called us back to the Northwest where I have been blessed to work at Heritage Christian Academy and serve as youth director for CrossPointe. When not working, I love spending time with my family, playing sports, and rooting on our Mariners and Seahawks.
